This is about my 44' schooner, the JENNIE, and the builder, Bos and Carr Boatbuilders of Auckland, New Zealand.
From the time of contract signing and through the launching of the JENNIE my dealings and relationship with Scott Carr and Lowie Bos have been an experience that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Therefore, it gives me the greatest pleasure to be able to express my complete satisfaction in the manner Bos and Carr Boatbuilders have accomplished this undertaking.
Scott Carr and Lowie Bos have been straightforward to work with have acted with honesty, integrity and financial constraint. They have respected my budget and their cost accounting is accurate and transparent. Their pricing for items that I have added to this project have been fair and reasonable. There have been no disputes of any kind about costs and pricing.
Scott and Lowie are technically astute and have made numerous suggestions to improve the project. They take the time to stay in constant communication to review the work and discuss various aspects and items coming up. They have kept me continually informed about progress, technical options, and have valued my input as well. This project is vastly superior due to their continuous communication and search for improvements.
Bos and Carr Boatbuilders take great pride in doing things correctly, and with exceptional workmanship. The Jennie certainly reflects this attitude. The Jennie is a well-founded, perfectly faired boat displaying superior workmanship throughout.
In conclusion, I am delighted that Scott and Lowie have asked me for this letter since it affords me the opportunity to comment on the superior quality boat their company builds.
I am simply thrilled with the JENNIE. I have a solid, beautiful boat with superior workmanship throughout. I have received very good value for the money and have more boat than I started out thinking I would get.
