BOS & CARR DESIGN

Maxsurf and Ashlar-Vellum tools have been employed by Bos & Carr since 2000. With them came huge time saving and technical advancement.

Bos & Carr use Maxsurf Workshop for plate development, and Hydromax for hydrostatic analysis and stability calculations.

With fifty combined years of conventional lofting and ’longhand’ knowledge between them, Scott and Lowie together with the efficiency of Maxsurf tools represent an enormously capable and comprehensive design and build service.

Bos & Carr employ a MKII Prosail Plotter for marking out developed parts onto plate. Parts are created in Maxsurf Workshop, further detailed in Vellum, nested to minimize material wastage, and then exported to the Prosail plotter for full-size marking onto plate. The plotter table measures 6.1m x 1.8m.

Bos & Carr offer excellent client liaison. Stock designs can be modified to suit individual client needs, budgets adhered to, and all cost cutting alternatives offered.

Bos & Carr always quote realistic time frames or can adhere to a strict building timetable where reasonable.

Wooden hull models are produced as part of the building process.
